A Christmas Weekend

Concert
Saturday 18th Dec saw some snow - so I spent most of the time at home playing jazz on the trumpet - enjoyed it staying at home.
In the evening drove over to Longwell Green and arrived at the community centre early and met Mel and friends. The concertkicked off at 7.30 although I was in a bit of a rush not having sorted out my music and also joined by a very confident Andy on first trumpet. The concert went well although ended quite late.

On Sunday I went to church and sat through an interesting service with the communion table put into the centre of the church.
In the afternoon I made my way over to the choir practice at Ashton Gate and knocked on the wrong door but found the right one eventually. We had a quick practice and then walked down to El Ricon a tiny Spanish Resteraunt in a small Victorian house that looked not much bigger than my house. We were crammed into the front room and I felt quite claustophbic.
In the evening I picked up Holly and Vicky from their flat and made our way in the snow to the Christmas Tree farm near Cribbs. The man said we had only just made it as he had closed 2 hours ago. We struggled to get it into the car and Vicky slipped but managed to get it back where Holly helped me get the decorations down from the attic and putting them on the tree. We watched 50 first dates and had Pizza and veggie pasties.
Holly and Vicky stayed (and the cat was in a huff because they had the sofa)and got up watched A Christmas Carol and then decided to postpone our visit to the Lammaside Pub for a meal. We cralwed as the snow came down and I was quite panicy. However Holly saw a robin feeding in the snow and said 'goodbye Mr Robin' which was cute. We had our christmas meal in the Hungry Horse which was nice before crawling back at snails pace to Vickies.
